This Motivational Interviewing workshop is an interactive, small-group session designed to help healthcare professionals improve their communication with patients who need support to make positive behavioural changes. Led by Dr. Lynn Furber, PhD—an experienced educator and researcher in healthcare communication—this course provides practical tools and techniques grounded in evidence-based MI principles.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a proven, patient-centred communication technique that helps healthcare professionals guide patients toward positive behaviour change without resistance or judgment.

• Your place will only be confirmed when Healthcare Communication Matters receives payment or we received an official purchase order number from your organisation. Please DO NOT book a place unless you have permission from your manager and confirmation that your trust are willing to pay the delegate fee, unless you are paying for the course yourself.
• Your place will not be guaranteed until payment has been received and confirmed.
• We reserve the right to cancel a booking in the case of a non-receipt of payment.
• Once your place is confirmed we will contact you via email and supply you with course documentation. PLEASE ensure that we have a valid email address and telephone number for us to contact you on.
• In the even of a cancellation: A charge of: 25% of the course fee will be made for cancellations up to 6 weeks prior to the course date. 50% of the course fee will be made between 4-6 weeks prior to the course date. No refund will be given for cancellations within 4 weeks of the course date.

If you or your organisation wish to find a suitable replacement for you, we will accept this up to 5 working days prior to the course.
