Healthcare Communication Matters (HCM) runs Advanced Communication Skills and Essential Communication Skills training.
By registering to attend HCM training you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions below.
Once you have completed a booking form to attend HCM training you will receive an email confirming receipt of your booking. If necessary, an invoice will also be issued.
Please note that your place is not guaranteed until payment has been received and
confirmed.
Where there is a participant fee payable for training, full payment must be received before the training takes place/at the time of booking, or we will be unable to admit you on the day of the training.
A refund, less a 20% administration fee, will be made if cancellations are received at least 4 weeks before the date of the training. We regret that any cancellation after this time cannot be refunded, and that refunds for failure to attend training cannot be made. Please contact admin@healthcarecommunicationmatters.co.uk if you wish to cancel your attendance.
Substitute delegates are welcome at any time, but must be notified to us as soon as possible via admin@healthcarecommunicationmatters.co.uk to ensure changes can be made.
Where an event is free to attend a £50.00 administration and catering fee will be charged for failure to attend without 7 days’ notice prior to the event.
If it is necessary for HCM to cancel a training course you will be advised via the email address you provided upon registering for the course. If a payment has been made for the training you will be offered the opportunity to transfer to a new course date or receive a full refund. A cancellation of a course will only occur in exceptional circumstances.
HCM reserves the right, at all times, and at its absolute discretion to make changes to programmes and timings without prior notice.
Where catering is provided at a training session and you have specified a particular dietary requirement in advance, we will do our best to accommodate this wherever possible.
However, venues and their ability to cater for specific needs alter with each training session and HCM cannot guarantee suitable options will be available. If you have any dietary requirements please contact admin@healthcarecommunicationmatters.co.uk as soon as possible so we can assist you.
HCM will always endeavour to select venues which are accessible for wheelchair users. However, venues and their ability to cater for specific needs alter with each training session.

Travel, accommodation and associated costs for attending training are the responsibility of the attendee.
HCM will, where appropriate, provide a list of suggested accommodation options for the events we hold.
Although we will try and select a range of suitable options HCM takes no responsibility for the standard or quality of accommodation booked, and any booking should be undertaken between yourself and the accommodation directly.
The information you provide will be held in line with the HCM Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions, in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Act 1998 and any other applicable data protection legislation.
We NEVER pass your details on to third parties unless we have a legitimate interest to do so.
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time at our discretion.
